The Time of Our Lives

February 21, 2012 at 10:06 am • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

I love the b&b hartbeespoort dam. We went up there over the Christmas holidays last year and had the best time. We decided to round up all the willing family members, their spouses or girlfriends, and all of our friends who were interested and make a booking to go up to the Magaliesberg and just let our hair down. Unfortunately not everyone could make it, but there was a lot of us who did. I think about 7 families went up there. Each of us booked our own chalet. Luckily the chalets come in different sizes to accommodate different needs. You get an eight sleeper, a six sleeper, a four sleeper, and then you also get a two sleeper for couples without kids. We made so many great memories up there. We went on the hiking trails, we went fishing, we swam in the pools, and of course we barbecued a lot. But most of all we just spent time together laughing and enjoying ourselves.

January 31, 2012 at 6:34 am • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

... and breakfast accommodation and cheap hotels in Brighton, East SussexMy wife insisted that we go out to Brighton for our five-day vacation. I thought it would be nice to do such a thing, because we did not have time to enjoy an island vacation. After figuring out that we were going to Brighton for our small vacation, she checked online to see if she could find out which activities would be nice for us to attend. We thought it would be nice to watch some sports. She checked online and found some sports activities, as well as some cheap hotels in Brighton. I checked it out and thought it would be very good for the both of us to have a very relaxing time in Brighton. We arrived in Brighton and checked our bags into the hotel. Throughout the five-day vacation, we were able to watch some football games and horse-racing. I am glad that we decided to go to Brighton for our small vacation.

Paradise Island: Experiencing Nirvana on Earth

January 28, 2012 at 4:01 pm • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

Adjacent to Nassau, the capital of Bahamas is the nirvana on earth island-vacation spot the Paradise Island. Renowned for its white sandy beaches, green and natural wonders of Mother Earth plus the glitz and glamour of casinos, bars and lounges Paradise Island is your personal comfort zone.

Paradise Island is connected by bridge to Nassau. Thus, a visit to Nassau is a visit to Paradise Island and vice versa. Tourism is at its best and high peak on the island with its sub-tropical and humid weather conditions an ideal get away from the freezing cold of winter in the Northern America region.

But, for your information, before this place was transformed into a world of bliss this is once an pig farm known as Hog Island until it was developed in 1959 by the British heir of supermarkets Huntington Hartford who built several landmarks including a casino and a resort which was made public in 1963.

Not until 1994 when hotel magnate Sol Kerzner bought the island and created what is a dream to many he made into reality with his version of man-made water park – the Atlantis Paradise Resort and Casino. His dream project was a success that it made Bahamas a capital tourist spot in the world.

At present, Atlantis Resort is one of the major landmarks in Paradise Island. But, the posh infrastructure has a lot more to offer than its mystical design. Water and land activities are popular leisure in the island coupled with some entertainment events. Indeed, Paradise Island is all-natural bliss with a twist of glitz and modern characteristic in harmony with the feisty Bahamians.

Forget Varadero and Its Turquoise Beach My Cuba Holidays Are Going to Be in Havana

January 27, 2012 at 1:58 pm • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

Varadero is without any doubts the most popular, and, for many, the best holiday resort in Cuba.

Ever since the 1950s this breathtakingly beautiful beach resort has been the island’s most legendary and trendy hotspot for sunkissed beach holidays in Cuba at one of the country’s most stunning stretches of powdery soft white sands and shallow, crystalline turquoise waters. But in my opinion, and after being on many amazing Cuba holidays, nothing can beat Havana as the number one attraction and top holiday destination in Cuba.

Malecon, Havana

In Havana you not only have a wider scope of places to visit and things to do, a greater range of activities and cultural as well as historical locations to admire and learn from, but you also have beautiful white-sand beaches at just a short 30 to 45-minute ride.

In short, you don’t have to feel you’re missing out on the beach if you plan Havana holidays, as this city’s long list of unique attributes also does includes beach relaxation and water sports at the famous Playas del Este (Havana’s Eastern Beaches) which are just one quick taxi ride away from the old and intriguing capital city.

Santa Maria Beach, Havana

You can choose from the beaches of Guanabo, Bacuranao, El Megano and Santa Maria del Mar, with the latter being one of the most popular among tourists, and many say, the best one.

The one in closest proximity to the city centre is Playa Santa Maria and out of all of them this is the only one that also has a hotel, so you can plan a night’s day if you want to stay on the beach a little longer?

My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece (Book) by Annabel Pitcher (2011 ...My husband and I are planning a visit to my sister and her family. We are going to make a week out of it. My sister lives in Yarragon Victoria and she loves it there. We are going to be staying at their house with them, she said that they have plenty of room. My sister is a stay at home mother to two school aged children so she is going to take us around to see the area while we are there. It is close to a lot of popular tourist attractions and she promises that we will be quite busy during the week. I hope that we can find a little bit of time to spend together, just the two of us. I mentioned that to her and she said that she is already planning on taking me to her favorite cafe. We are also going to watch a football game on our holiday, that should be fun.

Gorilla Trekking Safaris – Part II

December 26, 2011 at 12:29 am • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

We were discussing the gorilla trekking safari which is among the unique African safari tours available. The safari trip starts at Lake Bunyonyi in a canoe. Bunyonyi means “place of many little birds.” During the canoe ride, the vacationers can see large of number birds swarming the lakes at all times of the day. The vacationers always wake up to the chirping of the birds on this island. The canoe will take the vacationers on a trip through the lake to explore the many islands in the lake.

The gorilla territory is situated at the southern side of the lake. There is plenty of accommodation available in the gorilla forest through safari tents. A ranger station ensures the safety of the visiting tourists. Gorilla trekking normally includes chimpanzee tracking and a guided nature walk. It is sensible to note that this forest is home to half the world’s mountain gorillas.

I Just Want a Good Rental Car

December 6, 2011 at 7:47 am • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

I need to get in touch with a New Zealand rental car company quickly to ensure that they have a vehicle for my family of five. We are visiting my mother on an emergency, and we are going to be needing a good car because we have the kids coming with us. They are going to be needy and whiny if I do not have something like this for them. I am just very happy about the fact that I can actually make it happen! I guess that I am just trying so very hard to ensure that this is something that I can do right now. My family needs me in New Zealand, but that does not mean that I have to neglect the comfort of my immediate family. I can please them both at once with a simple rental car! It will be so much easier to deal with.

A Great Villa for Us

August 7, 2011 at 4:07 pm • Posted in DestinationsComments Off

The holiday villa Pollensa had to offer that I booked just for mum and I is something that I can really look into. I guess I am kind of looking into something that is going to make a big difference in our little trip. Mum has always gone for the cheaper stuff, but I want her to experience something great. It just makes a lot of sense for me to look into something like this and really appreciate what it means for me to invest in our holiday. Mum has never experienced luxury before, and I want her to be able to do that before she is too old to travel anymore. She has always settled for less, but there are just so many things in life that she has yet to experience. I feel like she should really experience something nice! It just feels pretty good to be able to have this available to me.

My husband has to work a lot and so we he was not able to go as much as he wanted to last year. I want to surprise him with a ski trip this winter. I think that my husband will be very excited about my surprise when he finds out about it. My husband loves to travel internationally and now he loves to ski. I have been looking online for ski holidays 2012. I hope to find some good deals and book something soon. I need to tell my husband as soon as I book the trip so that he can make sure that he has time off from work. He usually has to let his company have a lot of advanced notice when he asks for time off.
